Scholarship

The Perry ‘Second Chances’ Scholarship Award was created to offer multiple, one-time $4,000 scholarships to women and girls impacted by incarceration who are currently enrolled in a 2-to-4 year accredited college, vocational school, or university.

In memory of U.S. Army Master Sergeant Thurman Perry Jr., known for the generosity and kindness he showed towards others regardless of their station in life, his young daughter, Gabrielle Angelique Perry, a formerly homeless and formerly incarcerated woman who is now a scientist and epidemiologist specializing in infectious diseases, is offering these generous awards on an annual basis.

Priority will be given to women of color. Please note, at this time the award is only open to US citizens attending colleges and universities in the United States.
